Open Submissions
GOOEY accepts pieces of fiction and nonfiction from 500 - 2500 words in length. Submission is free. Current rates (summer 2023) are $25 - $50 depending on the length.
Guidelines
Use a 12 point Times New Roman or Georgia font. Double space the document, indent the paragraphs and send in a Microsoft word .docx or .doc format.
Title the document as follows:
MAG. Title of Piece. Author’s Last Name.
The document should contain your real name (and preferred/pen name if applicable), the title of the piece and your email address in the header.
